Not Without Falling

If I could sit in that chair
Maybe these nerves could start to calm down
But chances are slim
Because I’ve been shaking ever since I heard that song

The song started playing and it told me how I feel
It told me that I’m scared, but in a good way
Now as I start this next page, my hand starts to shake
The room starts to spin, but in a good way
And I don’t think I could sit in that chair
Without falling

If I could sit in that chair
Then maybe I could find the words I’ve been looking for
But chances are slim
Because my hands were shaking and it’s spread to my feet

My heart will be racing, my eyes will be watered
My voice will be fading, my mouth will be dry
And soon I will find that it happens again

A song started playing and it told me how I feel
It told me that I’m scared, but in a good way
Now as I start this next page, my hand starts to shake
The room starts to spin, but in a good way
And I don’t think I could sit in that chair
Without falling

And I don’t think I could sit in that chair
Without falling
For you

Sorry, but, aww. That was cute.

  2. thejambi Says:

lol. It’s funny that you apologized. And thanks :)

  3. alymc Says:

I just figured you probably hate hearing that about your stuff.

  4. thejambi Says:

    Nah, I’m fine with it.

lol, funny thought: not that I write for the sake of having people read it or anything, but you do realize that all the people who come here are girls..

  5. Alymc Says:

    Hmmm … no… hadn’t really noticed.
Maybe all the guys think they can’t compete? …
    LOL.
Wonder why that is though? hmmm.

  6. thejambi Says:

lol. But yeah, I don’t think that any guy has ever left a comment here (except for me). I don’t know why.. hm.. but.. hm.. if the girl to guy ratio in the world is 2 to 1.. I think statistics would say we need another guy around here.

  7. Alymc Says:

Perhaps … but maybe girls are more bent towards poetic art than guys. That could be it. Or, perhaps guys just think it would be fruity to leave comments. lol. Why? .. you mind all the girls?

  8. thejambi Says:

lol. Yeah, I was just joking with the stats thing. It’s gotta be that girls are probably just more likely to read it.

lol. And no, I don’t mind or anything. I’m neutral on that. I’m just glad people actually come. I never really thought they would or even meant it to be that way.

  9. Raquel TWG Says:

Yeah I think it’s that some guys think it’s fruity to leave comments about poetry. But they should it shows they appreciate art. You’re probably dying to know what guys think.

You’d would know though, if I’d tell everyone what I’ve been hiding…

Ha just kidding, don’t send me to therapy or anything.

lopol (lol with a “pretty outrageously” added in)

Yeah, you have a good point. It’d be nice to hear what a guy would have to say.

  11. Alymc Says:

First of all .. I’m glad you write. I appreciate it.. and it’s even been used in ways I didn’t think were possible by reading your blog.
Hmm.. maybe I could try to send a guy your way. Lol.

And Raquel …. o my word … I dont even know what to say. :) ( you did make me laugh).

  12. thejambi Says:

Thank you. I really am blessed that my writing has done that.

  13. Raquel TWG Says:

    Haha don’t say anything.
And YES I am a girl!
[one phrase I thought I’d have never have to say]
